Even as a kid, my friends would say, “Tell me a story.” I wrote stories in high school and college but didn’t take writing seriously until much later when someone said, “You should write a book.”

I live in Nebraska, where the weather has been known to change drastically from one day to the next. I’m a part-time teacher of young children. The rest of my day is spent adulting—translation: boring stuff like cleaning and laundry and grocery shopping, and of course, writing.

My house is pretty quiet now with just me and my husband and our mixed-husky dog, although when she wants something, she howls! There’s always a book on my nightstand; I love reading. I’m a big fan of games—board games, online word games, cards or whatever! I also love spending time with family, swimming, traveling, camping (not roughing it, though!) and golf.
